Owing to our products' unique and healthy appearance, it was suggested by our customers in 1999 that they would fare better at a produce stand, rather than in the grocery aisle and among dried fruit, banana chips and raisins. As a result, this unique exposure with a truly unique product allowed us to obtain phenomenal sales results that had never before been seen, surpassing all our expectations.
When we look at weekly sales for each product at each store - although prices have not been marked down - sales have been far superior to other sun-dried goods in the produce section. And even after 5 years of on the market, sales volume continues to be high. Clearly, this product will maximize its sales potential when it has appropriate exposure in the produce section.
As we subsequently expanded our retail channels, we saw that when the product is given similar exposure at our preferred business partner stores, the same types of results were achieved.
